Welcome to Hong Kong Foodies, your global pantry for the flavors you crave but can’t find.
We are a three-generation family of Hong Kong foodies—known in Cantonese as 為食港女! Founded by Carmen—a "true blue" Hong Konger who moved to Boston in 2021—our journey began with a simple craving. Despite the endless aisles of local Asian grocery stores, Carmen and her family realized that certain authentic Hong Kong comfort foods and local staples were simply out of reach.
In 2025, she decided to fix that. Partnering with her mother—a retired Hong Kong restaurateur who owned and operated a local 茶餐廳 (Cha Chaan Teng) for years—Carmen launched this mini grocery store to bridge the gap between "home" and "here."

The Trader Joe’s Connection
Living in Boston, it was actually Carmen’s daughter who first fell in love with Trader Joe’s and converted the whole family into total superfans. From the legendary Everything But The Bagel Sesame Seasoning to their viral snacks and iconic canvas tote bags, she showed us just how special these American grocery finds are.
We realized that just like Hong Kong’s street food, Trader Joe’s has a cult following that spans the globe—but their stores don't. Inspired by our youngest foodie's obsession, Hong Kong Foodies now offers global shipping for Trader Joe’s must-haves, serving fans in cities without a local TJ’s and foodies worldwide.
